Daily Chapel
At St. Luke’s, daily chapel is the heart of our school day and a cornerstone of our Episcopal identity. Each morning, students, faculty, and friends of all faith traditions gather in a spirit of unity and reflection. Bathed in the soft light of stained glass, we come together for prayer, song, fellowship, and words of inspiration. Chapel reminds us of our shared humanity and sacred identity—before anything else, we are children of God.
Chapel is also a time for leadership and connection. Intermediate and middle school students take on roles as acolytes and readers, and eighth graders shine as they prepare and deliver their “chapel talks,” a proud milestone for both students and their families. Additionally, our middle schoolers serve as “chapel buddies” to our youngest students, guiding them in the “big chapel” experience and fostering relationships that become treasured memories for years to come.
Foundation Rooted in Faith
For our youngest learners (PK3-K), chapel is held in the intimate Chapel of the Christ Child. This age-appropriate service introduces them to prayer, song, and biblical stories in a way that nurtures their faith and wonder. Even at this early age, students step into leadership roles as acolytes, delighting in the responsibility and joy of leading worship.
Chapel at St. Luke’s is more than a daily tradition—it is where our community gathers, grows, and lives out the values that guide us each day.
