The Rev. Irv Cutter

Rector

The Rev. Irv Cutter has been Rector of St. Luke’s Church and School since January 2019. Having grown up in Corpus Christi, he moved to Houston to attend Rice University, getting a B.A. in 1987. He stayed in Houston, working for a subsidiary of IBM and for Texaco until beginning studies at Virginia Theological Seminary. Irv was ordained in 1998 and served churches in Beaumont, Houston, and Tulsa before returning to the Diocese of West Texas. He and his wife Andrea, an attorney with USAA, have two children: a son who attends Loyola University Chicago, and a daughter who attends Churchill High School after graduating from St. Luke’s Episcopal School in 2023.
