Abraham Callahan

5th-6th & 8th History

Abraham Callahan, M.Ed., is an award-winning educator who for more than a decade has taught subjects ranging from Latin to SAT Math. He was in the first class to graduate from St. Luke’s Episcopal Middle School in 2004, and he attributes his successes in subsequent education to the robust foundation established during his time here. Callahan also cherishes life-long friendships that started in this nourishing community. After being recognized by KABB’s Taco Cabana Teacher Tuesday, Callahan was awarded Teacher of the Year at St. Anthony Catholic High School in 2019. Outside of the classroom, Callahan has been a part of the San Antonio community by serving on the boards of the San Antonio Classical Society, Symposium Great Books Institute, and San Antonio Catholic Worker House. He loves to practice speaking Spanish and scribble Mandarin Hanzi. His hours are mostly filled with adventures with his wife and young daughter, who bring meaning and joy to his life.
