Sara Herff
Spanish Teacher
Sara teaches Spanish to Pre-K 3-year-olds through 4th grade and has also taught up to 5th grade in the past. Before joining St. Luke’s, she was a founding teacher at KIPP charter schools’ Un Mundo Dual Language Elementary, where she spent three years moving up with her students from Kindergarten through 2nd grade. After taking a two-year break to start her family, Sara had her first child, Augie, who is now a 2nd grader at St. Luke’s, along with her 5-year-old son, Walker.
St. Luke’s holds a very special place in Sara’s heart, as she is an alumni and attended the school from 1st through 5th grade. She feels it is a second home, where everyone is known and loved. The sense of love extends not only between community members but, more importantly, in the understanding of God’s love for each of us. Her role allows her to share her love of the Spanish language and culture with her students, as well as coach tennis for the middle schoolers, which is one of her favorite hobbies. Sara truly believes that St. Luke’s is the best!
