Susan Wasiak
Reading Specialist
Susan is thrilled to begin her 18th year in education at St. Luke’s, where she appreciates the professionalism of the staff and the warmth of the community, making it a place where everyone feels welcomed and valued. A proud Baylor University alum, Susan cheers loudly with a “Sic ‘Em Bears!” She holds a master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Texas at San Antonio, specializing in reading. She is a certified Reading Specialist, a Certified Auditory Language Therapist (CALT), and a licensed Dyslexia Therapist.
On a personal note, Susan has been happily married to her husband, Stan, for 23 years. Together, they have three wonderful children: Will, a sophomore at Texas A&M University and a member of the Corps of Cadets; and their two teenage daughters, Lauren and Claire, who keep their parents busy with sports, including volleyball, cross country, track, and softball.
Outside of work, Susan enjoys traveling, cooking, watching movies, and spending quality time outdoors with friends and family. She is eagerly looking forward to another year of growth, learning, and community at St. Luke’s!
